Meet The Team: A Day In The Life Of... Our Fleet Manager & Administrator To The Directors

To Tie in with our LinkedIn relaunch, we want to introduce you to some of our wonderful team members here at Aqualisa! We've sat down with some of the team for a quick chat about what their job involves and what it's like to work at Aqualisa. We caught up with Sarah Smith, our Fleet Manager & Administrator to the Directors, to find out a bit more about her role!

You have quite a complicated job title, can you tell us a bit about what your job involves?

Mostly looking after the company directors, making sure they have everything they need, organising their schedules, organising meetings etc. I also manage bookings for travel and accommodation, vehicle hire, staff uniforms, staff briefings, health and safety records and our fleet of vehicles as well. I’m a first point of contact for people needing to meet with our directors and for staff who need assistance with anything regarding work trips, staff procedures and health and safety.

So, what does an average day look like for you?

Oh no two are ever the same! The only predictable part is starting with coffee! When I first get in the office, I always check the directors’ schedules for the day and try to plan my priorities for the day. Throughout the day I’ll get a lot of people stopping in to ask me for something or emailing for advice or help. The rest of the day is mainly keeping on top of all of those requests and fitting them in around my list of jobs for the day!

What do you think is the best thing about working for Aqualisa?

I’m sure everyone probably says this, but it’s definitely the people! We also get amazing support from both the company and the teams around us. I do genuinely enjoy my role as well, its so varied and fast paced that its always a challenge and never dull, which I love!

What are you looking forward to in the year ahead?

Just continuing to do my job to the best of my ability and implementing some new cost saving procedures.

And finally, tell us a little bit about yourself!

Favourite food: Chinese takeaway

Favourite drink: Coffee, I would never get through the day without it!

Favourite sport: I love going for a long walk

Something your colleagues don’t know about you: I used to play the flute!
