2021 Gender Pay Gap Report

Aqualisa are committed to continuing to find new and creative ways to champion Gender Equality in the workplace.  Ensuring that diversity and inclusivity is at the heart of our business and everything we do. We want to be bold and passionate in unlocking the diverse talent that exists here at Aqualisa, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.  Although we are proud of the positive progress that we have made as an organisation on narrowing the Gender Pay Gap since 2017, we recognise there is more to do.  In 2021 our company had a mean gender pay gap of 6% and the number of female employees in the upper quartile had increased to 34%,  we are working relentlessly to improve this through a number of actions:-

  • Structured and transparent recruitment and Interview processes
  • Improvements to Workplace flexibility
  • Leadership Development Training
  • Unconscious bias and Diversity Training
  • Offering mentoring support
  • Continue support for colleagues returning to work following maternity leave

We are confident that we can continue to work together on making Aqualisa a truly diverse and inclusive place to work for all our existing colleagues and new hires to come.

Aqualisa is dedicated to supporting female colleagues returning to the business from maternity leave with flexible working opportunities, and currently, 12% of our female workforce is employed on a part-time basis. Furthermore, several female members of our leadership team have progressed to more senior management positions within the last 12 months.

From a training perspective, we continue to provide in-depth programmes for all our recruiting line managers, ensuring an inclusive and balanced approach to talent acquisition and adherence to all equality guidelines in the recruitment process.
