Meet The Team: A Day In The Life Of... Our Head of Product Management

To Tie in with our LinkedIn relaunch, we want to introduce you to some of our wonderful team members here at Aqualisa! We've sat down with some of the team for a quick chat about what their job involves and what it's like to work at Aqualisa. This time we caught up with Clare Crosley, our Head of Product Management.

Can you tell us a bit about what your job involves?

Product management is a very varied role. It is predominantly focussed around building product strategies which are in line with our brand and market. I am responsible for product road maps, product gap and competitor analysis, monitoring market trends, product portfolio profitability, innovation opportunities and new product launches.

So what does an average work day look like for you?

I’m up at 6am most mornings and always try to squeeze in 20 minutes on the cross trainer before a quick shower and light breakfast. Once I get to work, the first thing I like to do is to have a weak black coffee. My workday can be very varied, never two the same! Usually I begin with an overview of our current project plans and catch up on some emails. I usually have meetings throughout the day so I don’t always have my lunch hour free but when I do, I like to get out of the office and go for a walk or a coffee meeting and in the summer I love to walk to the nearest park to sit and enjoy my lunch break outside! The afternoon is much like the morning, never two the same! I usually have more meetings and other than that I'll be working on our upcoming projects.

What are you most looking forward to in the year ahead?

We have a few exciting new product launches planned for the year ahead and I’m really looking forward to developing these further and seeing the end results!

What do you think is the best thing about working for Aqualisa?

Definitely the people! We’re a friendly team and I love the atmosphere which that brings to the office.

And finally, tell us a little bit about yourself!

Favourite food: Vegan lasagne, garlic bread and salad.

Favourite drink: Rhubarb gin and tonic or just the tonic water on its own!

Favourite sport: I love surfing, but unfortunately, I don’t get many opportunities to go surfing! I also love swimming and dancing.

Something your colleagues don’t know about you: When I was a teenager, I won the Diana Award, which was set up to honour Diana, Princess of Wales’ belief that young people have the power to change the world.
