Transcript

Aqualisa have been manufacturing showers for over 40 years we are now the market leader in smart showers. A smart shower works by separating the valve from the control. The beauty of this is a simpler and more flexible installation. Allowing the box can be sited up to 10 metres away from the shower itself. For example, the smart valve can be sited in the loft, an airing cupboard, or even under the bath just remember this must be accessible for future services.

Search How to install an Aqualisa Q™ concealed smart shower controller

Transcript

In this video I'll be showing you how to install an Aqualisa Q™ concealed controller. When installing the concealed smart-shower system the pipework and data cables should be installed prior to tiling. Concealed cables must be protected by a suitably sized conduit to allow for removal in the event of service or maintenance. Think about the location of the Q™ controller. Choose a suitable height so all the family can easily see and use the controller.

The Q™ controller is activated by a proximity sensor on the front of the controller. The sensor detects motion from 0.5 to 0.7 meters directly in front of the device. It is important the device is positioned so that it will detect the user approaching and moving away from the shower. Insert the data cable wires following the colour sequence marked on the wall plate.

Ensure the surface area is clear of debris, press the wall plate into the hole using the built-in spirit level, mark the three fixing slot positions onto the finished surface, Drill holes and fit supplied plugs we recommend using a six-millimetre drill bit. Remove the paper liner on the gasket apply a silicon adhesive into the channel of the wall plate and push onto the wall. Fix the back plate to the wall with supplied screws. Your Q™ smart controller is supplied with a colour accent ring that can be fitted by lining up the grooves and pushing into position.

Position the Q™ controller into the wall plate with the power symbol at the seven o'clock position. Gently apply pressure to the screen with one hand, rotate the controller anti-clockwise using the Q™ leaver until it stops and is securely seated on the wall plate. Tighten the screw located at the bottom of the Q™ smart controller.

Search How to install an Aqualisa rail kit

Transcript

In this video I'll be showing you how to install an Aqualisa rail kit. The outlet pipe work should be projecting 15 to 22 millimetres from the finished wall surface. Fit the spacer and gripper ring onto the projecting pipe. Ensuring the locking screw hole is positioned at the bottom, place the wall outlet mounting plate onto the pipe assembly and mark and prepare the fixing points.

Ensuring the locking screw hole is positioned at the bottom, secure the wall mounting plate to the wall using the screws provided. Ensuring the O-ring is in the correct position on the mounting plates spigot, place the wall outlet onto the mounting plate in the five o'clock position and rotate clockwise until the stop is reached. Refit the locking screw taking care not to over tighten.

When commissioning any shower flush water through outlets before connecting hose or heads. Offer up the shower rail kit drill and prepare the bottom fixing points using the fixings provided. Align the small hole in the rail with the bottom rail and fix in point and attach the rail with the bottom bracket. Mark, drill, and prepare the top fixing point using the fixings provided. Remove the bottom bracket and pass the rail through the handset holder while keeping the slider lever depressed. Ensure the handset holder is in the correct orientation, slide the gel hook onto the rail under the handset holder. Slide the rail assembly up through the top rail in bracket.

Place the rail end caps into the rail ends and push firmly into position. To attach the handset to the hose disengage the pivot clip from the bottom of the handset by pressing the tab and pulling the pivot hose connector clear. Insure the hose washer is in the correct position and screw the pivot hose connector into the hose only do this hand tight. Reinsert the pivot hose connector into the handset and push the tab to lock into position. Pass the hose through the gel hanger. Insert the handset into the pinch grip slider. The longer conical connection attaches to the shower head and the shorter connection to the outlet.

Transcript

In this video I'll be showing you how to install an Aqualisa Q™ exposed smart shower. Before installation think about the location of the Q™ controller. If the ceiling height is over 2.4 meters a riser rail extension kit will be required. Make sure there is adequate working clearance above the top of the rail in the roof space. Choose a suitable height so all the family can easily see and use the controller. The Q™ controller is activated by a proximity sensor on the front of the control. The sensor detects motion from 0.5 to 0.7 meters directly in front of the device.

It is important that the device is positioned so that it will detect the user approaching and moving away from the shower. Using a spirit level attach the template to the wall in the desired position. Using the template drill a hole in the ceiling 30 to 40 millimetres in diameter. Again, using the template drill the wall fixing points using a suitable six mil drill bit and fit the supplied wall plugs.

Remove the template from the wall and feed the data cable followed by the rail assembly containing the supply pipe through the hole in the ceiling. Fix the rail to the wall using the screws provided. Slide the rail racket covers into place. Position the Q™ controller into the wall plate with a power symbol at the seven o'clock position. Gently apply pressure to the screen with one hand use the other hand to rotate the controller counter clockwise using the Q™ lever until it stops and is securely seated on the wall plate.

Flush water through the outlet before connecting hose or heads. To attach the handset to the hose, disengage the pivot clip from the bottom of the handset by pressing the tab and pulling the pivot hose connector clear. Ensure the hose washer is in the correct position and screw the pivot hose connect it into the hose only do this hand tight. Reinsert the pivot hose connector into the handset and push the tab to lock into position. Attach the hose and handset.

In this video I'll be showing you how to install an Aqualisa Quartz exposed smart shower. Before installation think about the location of the shower if the ceiling height is over 2.4 meters a riser rail extension kit will be required. Make sure there is adequate working clearance above the top of the rail in the roof space. Locate a suitable entry point in the ceiling for the riser rail avoiding joists and services. The centre of the riser rail stands 45 millimetres from the wall, if this is not suitable use the spacers provided.

Offer up the rail to the ceiling mark and drill a hole through the ceiling 30 to 40 millimetres in diameter. Feed the riser rail containing the copper pipe and the data cable through the hole in the ceiling, ensuring that the controllers of the desired height and the rail is vertical. Slide the gel hook of the rail ensuring is higher than the lower fixing bracket. Place the lower bracket support pillar into position mark the screw holes and remove the fixing bracket to drill holes.

Prepare the holes with suitable fixings and slide the fixing bracket back over the rail onto the support pillar. Secure to the wall using the screws provided. Place the upper rail bracket support pillar into the desired location ensuring that both the hose restraint and the handset holder are below the rail wall bracket. Mark fixing points drill and prepare holes and fix the top bracket to the wall using the screws provided. Slide the rail end covers onto the fixing brackets flush with the finish wall surface and click the sides firmly into position. Flush water through the outlet before connecting hose and heads attach the hose and handset.
